These Terms & Conditions apply to driving lessons and related services supplied by MDN Driving School. Please read them before booking. By booking or attending a lesson, the pupil (or the person paying on the pupil’s behalf) agrees to these terms.
1. Lesson prices and duration
- First 1-hour assessment: £40.
- Standard automatic driving lesson: £40 per hour.
- 10-hour block booking: £380, paid in advance.
Lesson duration and price will be confirmed when booking. Prices may change, but any prepaid lessons will remain at the price already agreed.
2. Payments and block bookings
Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash. A lesson or block is secured only after payment has been received or another arrangement has been agreed. A 10-hour block may be scheduled across different dates and times, subject to availability. Block hours cannot be transferred to another person without prior agreement.
3. Cancellations, changes and missed lessons
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange a lesson. If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, or the pupil does not attend, the lesson may be charged in full where the reserved time cannot reasonably be filled. No charge will be made when MDN Driving School cancels a lesson.
Repeated late cancellations or missed lessons may result in future bookings being refused or requiring payment in advance.
4. Instructor lateness and cancellations
Occasional short delays can occur because of traffic or circumstances outside the instructor’s control. Where practical, the pupil will be informed. Any significant time lost because the instructor arrives late will be added to the lesson or rearranged. If MDN Driving School cancels, the lesson will be rearranged or any payment for that undelivered lesson will be credited or refunded.
5. Refunds and unused prepaid hours
A pupil may request a refund for unused prepaid lesson hours. Lessons already taken will be charged at the standard hourly rate, and the remaining balance will be refunded, less any fair amount due for a late cancellation or other direct loss under these terms. Refunds will normally be returned using the original payment method where possible. Nothing in these terms affects the pupil’s statutory consumer rights.
6. Pupil responsibilities
The pupil must:
- hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence and provide it for checking when requested;
- meet the legal eyesight requirement and inform the instructor of anything that could affect safe driving;
- be fit to drive and not be affected by alcohol, illegal drugs, or medication that makes driving unsafe;
- wear suitable footwear and any required glasses or contact lenses;
- give accurate pickup details and be ready at the agreed time; and
- tell the instructor about any change to their licence, medical fitness, or insurance-relevant circumstances.
7. Fitness and safety
The instructor may refuse or stop a lesson if the pupil appears unfit to drive, behaves dangerously, or does not follow reasonable safety instructions. When the pupil is responsible, the lesson may still be charged. The instructor may take physical or verbal action when reasonably necessary to protect the pupil, vehicle, instructor, or other road users.
8. Practical driving tests and use of the school car
The pupil is responsible for booking and managing their practical driving test and for checking the test details. Use of the school car for a test is not automatic. It is subject to availability, advance payment, and the instructor being satisfied that the pupil is safe and appropriately prepared.
The instructor may refuse use of the car if the pupil is not test-ready, has not followed professional advice, is legally unable to drive, or if weather, vehicle condition, illness, or another safety concern makes attendance unsuitable. Test-day prices and arrangements will be confirmed separately before booking.
9. Vehicle and insurance
Lessons are provided in an automatic dual-control vehicle that is maintained, taxed, insured and presented for tuition in accordance with legal requirements. The pupil must follow the instructor’s directions and take reasonable care of the vehicle.
10. Mobile phones and recordings
The pupil must not use a handheld mobile phone while driving. Any recording inside the vehicle requires the instructor’s prior agreement. The instructor may use a phone only when lawful and safe, for example for navigation while securely mounted.
11. Personal information and privacy
MDN Driving School may collect information needed to manage lessons, payments, progress, communication and legal obligations. Information will be kept securely, used only for legitimate business purposes, and shared only when necessary or required by law. Pupils may request access to or correction of their personal information.
12. Photographs, reviews and social media
Photographs, videos, pass announcements, names or testimonials will be used for advertising or social media only with the pupil’s permission. Permission may be withdrawn for future use at any time. Pupils are welcome to leave an honest review, but reviews are voluntary.
13. Respectful behaviour
MDN Driving School will provide professional, patient and respectful tuition. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, sexually inappropriate or unsafe behaviour will not be accepted and may result in the lesson or future tuition being ended.
14. Complaints and contact
Please raise any concern as soon as possible so it can be resolved fairly. Contact:

Phone/WhatsApp: 07504 238 511
Email: mdndrivingschool26@gmail.com
If a complaint cannot be resolved directly, the pupil may seek independent consumer advice or use the official process for complaints about approved driving instructors.
How pupils accept these terms
Before the first lesson, the pupil should read these Terms & Conditions and confirm acceptance. Pupils aged 18 or over can confirm for themselves. If the pupil is under 18, a parent or legal guardian should confirm on their behalf.
Please send the following confirmation to MDN Driving School by WhatsApp:
I have read and agree to the MDN Driving School Terms & Conditions.
The WhatsApp reply will be kept as a dated record of acceptance. Permission for photographs, videos, reviews, social-media posts or marketing is separate and is not required to book driving lessons.
Agreement
Booking, paying for, or attending a lesson confirms that the pupil has had the opportunity to read and accept these Terms & Conditions. A copy or link should be kept for future reference.
